I made a really cute keyhole scarf for H out of the leftover Koigu from SIL’s booties. It looks really cute on and she mostly left it alone when I had it on her today. She got it off once but it wasn’t a disaster.
Also managed to enter ALL my stash on my Ravelry account. […]
Thanks to Libby for modeling the Little Liza Jane dress for me. It looks adorable on her and she didn’t want to take it off. Her mom says she’s a perfect 4 T so I feel confident that H will be able to wear it for a while. Of course, I tried to take pics […]
I finally finished the Little Liza Jane dress from Twist Collective (designer Alison Green Will). It’s a darling dress and I used the recommended yarn–Elann Callista, which is 50% viscose rayon, 25% cotton, 25% linen. I wrote to the site from which I purchased the problematic pattern and received a very nice, very prompt response. The designer is on vacation, which is why I never heard from her. They will pass my feedback on to her and hopefully post a corrected version soon.
They gave me a refund, which is very […]
I started a new pattern–a shrug I can wear while I’m pregnant this winter and then still wear afterwords. I’m using a beautiful teal color in Rowan Kidsilk Haze. Just looking at the pattern before I started I had questions. I emailed the address listed and have received ZERO response. While I […]
I’m finally finished with DH’s birthday socks. I had more problems with that stupid heel and after redoing it umpteen times on the second sock I just decided to gut it out and not worry whether it was correct or not. Now I can focus on other projects.
The important thing is that they fit […]
Finally finished sock #1— a combination of deadlines for clients and killer allergies led to unspeakable delays. Alas. So his birthday came and went and he’s got one sock. Mostly it’s done because he decided that he wanted an ankle length sock. Good thing I also picked up a fun new board game called Tongiaki–it’s […]
